Feeling the baby?!?!?!

My sister was telling me a story about a girl who was 7 or 8 weeks pregnant, who walked around complaining about how her baby had his feet in her ribs. It was my sister who nicely took her aside and explained to her that the baby was less than two inches long, and probably couldn't reach her ribs, let alone kick them hard enough to bring such a loud complaint!

So, at the risk of sounding like that girl - I am feeling the baby move. At first I had no idea what this fluttery feeling in my abdomen was. However after talking with many pros (moms) I have found out that is the feeling is, in fact, the baby! Every day I am more in awe of how the Lord has made our bodies. I will even go as far as being amazed that eating certain foods during pregnancy makes one sick. I can't believe that anyone who has had a baby cannot believe in divine creation. How could your body accidentally become such a perfectly functioning organ? I mean a child has more intelligence than an accident, and I have never seen a child create more than a scribbly picture that you have to try to make out!

Anyway, since you are all Christians, I guess I don't have to try to convince you!

Being Pregnant is great!!

I have thought of my top ten reasons that I love being pregnant, these of course do not include the obvious benefit of having a child!

10. Everyone is nice to me.
9. My husband gives me back massages, of course, he gave them to me before - but now he sometimes insists.
8. My boss and co-workers make me take lots of breaks, and refuse to let me "overwork" myself - although this can be irritating as well!
7. Everyone is so excited for me. Probably not as excited as Max and I, and then all of the soon to br grandparents...
6. Even though you feel like crud - apparently you glow!
5. Never in my life have people cared as much about my health as they do now.
4. I get more sleep than I ever have.
3. SOME foods taste soooo good. Let me emphasise that some food, because some of it is aweful!
2. I am about to enter "the club", with every other woman who can now give advice to every new mother!
1. I own more clothes now then I ever have before! Women around me are so helpful with keeping me adequately dressed. Let me just thank Brenda, Sarah and Aunt Tam - not to mention my husband who went and bought me some essentials to keep me comfy and warm.

Babies First Picture

I cannot believe how amazing ultrasounds are. Max and I were just speechless most of the night after we saw our baby on the screen. I have known I am pregnant. I feel pregnant, and I have had many tests to prove that fact. But I was in total shock after actually seeing the baby. I have to admit, when I have seen the pictures of ultrasounds in the past, they don’t look all that impressive!!! But, seeing the baby move and kick! This has to be the most awe filling time of my entire life thus far. I have posted our babies first ultrasound picture– and like I said, not all that amazing – but the real thing!!
After seeing how much the baby was moving, Max is now completely convinced that Jr. is a boy. He says that if he had seen the baby knitting her would know it was a girl! I guess we shall see. My new official due date (meaning the only safe day for plans!) is July 7th, 2008. What an anniversary present to ourselves, huh?!?.

Baby Weight...Not Tina Weight!

Well, whenever I have seen a cute pregnant woman in the past, i.e. (Sarah, Brenda with Noah!!) I have thought, “I want to be just like that, cute, when I am pregnant”. Well, of course, I thought that I would have a lot of time to get into that place and be ready to gain the weight and eat right and exercise! Well, that is obviously not how it happened, so I have to try even harder to be like all those cute mommies-to-be that I have envied! So, my goal… I want to eat healthy, keep exercising, and gain baby weight, not Tina weight.

Aunt Tam took me shopping and bought me some decent jeans – I already have some slacks. Right now I am in the odd stage of not enough belly for maternity cloths, but too much belly for my own cloths! It kind of makes me realize that all those times that I teased a girl for starting in maternity cloths before needed, I didn’t know what I was talking about. It was out of necessity, or the lack of proper cloths. I mean, who has the money to buy a whole new wardrobe for each stage of belly?

I am also loving the rubber band trick. I think it was Brenda who told me that if you put a rubber band between the hole and the button, you can wear your pants longer! So, thanks to all the lovely women in my life, I can look cute for a few more weeks!

CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!

It really is the most wonderful time of the year. In case some of you have missed seeing how much I absolutely LOVE Christmas, here is a little insight!

We have had our tree up since the Sunday after thanksgiving. Two days late, but I am sure the christmas ferries will forgive me this one year. I was a little pukie when I put the lights on, and so am not completely happy with my job. However, there our tree sat for ever so long - practically naked! We own maybe three ornaments. I was just going to live that way, because I would rather wait and get what I want, then just get stuff because it is Christmas and not like it.

However, we still had some wedding gift cards left, from the wedding, for Macy's. So, Aunt Tam took me to holiday lane in the mall and I was able to get lots of christmas ornaments for a fraction of the price - and no cost to me. I got a bunch of nutcracker ornaments and some red balls. I got little red balls with gold glitter designs and huge red balls for contrast! I have the nutcrackers up, but I have to get the red balls up still - when I do, I will publish a picture!

Well, I must get ready to go to the annual Ladies CHristmas Brunch at church. I am hosting a table this year, so I got to decorate it with my china and some nutcrackers! YES, I love nutcrackers. So, soon you will have many new pictures.

Praise the Lord for husbands!!!

Can I just tell you all how incredibly blessed I am that the Lord gave me Max. Not only am I the most spoiled pregnant woman that ever was, but I am also the most taken care of. I have already told you about how he makes sure that there is enough good food for me all the time (and pickles!), so that I am not hungry or forced to eat junk and gain too much weight. He also, does more than his share of the household chores, takes care of the dogs, takes me on dates and gives me full body massages. Of course, he has an alterior motive, he wants little LeFebvre to be heathly and strong like his daddy! But he has always been so sweet to me. He makes it his job to make sure that I am not doing too much and overwhelming myself.

Praise the Lord for husbands. I am always thanking the Lord for Max , but even more so now.
