It's Confirmed

My daughter has a funny crawl and unevenly fat legs, but other than that she is fine. Thank you for your prayers, I was a little (ok a lot!) nervous about this one! However, she is fine and will not have to be in leg casts on her birthday.

Whaley not Kvale!!

I would like to personally (actually quite impersonally since its online!) apologise to Derek Whaley for naming their blog "Kvale" in my list. It was brought to my attention weeks ago and today is the first time my blog would let me change it!

Please Pray

At KayLynn's last doctor appointment he told us that she needed to get a hip x-ray becuase she has some signs of hip dysplasia. So, today Max is taking her to the hospital for her x-ray. Please pray that she does well, and that the Lord prepares us for the results. Thanks!

Adendum:
KayLynn's "symptoms" are uneven leg folds (i.e. she has an extra roll of fat on her leg); one leg shorter then the other and she does a funny crawl thing with her leg. However, the doctor did say that the first two could mean nothing and th funny leg crawl thing could just be my funny little daughter being unique. She had the test yesterday and it went well, we should have the results today or tomorrow. Thanks for your prayers.

Why do we buy toys??

If cans of beans...

or measuring cups...

or paper...

make our little ones happy, why do we buy them toys??

Happy Nine Month Birthday KayLynn

I know, I don’t believe it either, nine months. Since it’s been a little while, let me re-cap her latest achievements. She is 19.5 pounds and 27.5 inches. KayLynn has four teeth ( two on top and two on bottom). She is crawling everywhere at lightening speed- making housework (especially dusting and sweeping) quite a necessity and yet a feat.

She talks non-stop and is trying to copy our intonation of words. She has learned that phones are for talking, so whenever I open the phone, she starts talking, and she lights up when I call daddy on speaker phone and he talks to her.

She is getting better and better at pulling herself up to standing using her crib and chairs, couches... Max took his first steps on his first birthday and I was walking at 9months, so we are waiting to see whom she will take after. Right now she is walking around holding onto the ottoman, but still needs that extra help.

KayLynn is happy and cheerful most of the time (especially when she gets what she wants!) She loves to sing. She has a few toys that sing. She holds them up, so they are face-to-face, and sings to them. She also likes to dance. When I have to clean the dishes I put her in her exersaucer, turn up the music and we dance and sing together. She also likes to sing during the hymns at church.

She sleeps through the night…again! We had operation “KayLynn Sleep Through the Night”, and it only took two nights.

Here are some pictures of KayLynn these last few weeks. As I am sure you can imagine, there are many more, I just tried to use our favorites.
