SAHM Update -- Great News

Max is now officially a full-time, permanent Detention Officer!!!  I am more excited and thankful than I can even express.  I am so thankful both to the Lord and to my husband.  I know that permanent status for Max means a lot more hours as well as a lot of overtime because they own him now!  We had other great new while working on our mortgage, so we are extremely thankful.

The next big step is to look at the numbers and set a date!!  We know that it will be sometime between my birthday (5-25) and K's birthday (7-17).  When we have a date, I will be sure to shout it from the rooftops!

Thank you for your prayers for us on this journey.  I keep praying that the Lord will help me be patient and trust Him - because no matter when He knows what is best for our family!

Sorry - no Pics, just begging for Prayer

I know that many of you have been faithful in praying for my family (most importantly for me to be home with KayLynn).  I just wanted to give an update.

Max and I are still planning and working towards me being off by the end of July this year.  We have 2 major stumbling blocks in our way right now.  One is changing our health insurance coverage, which is through my job and will most likely being taken care of as soon as my next surgery is done (end of May).  The other issue is our mortgage.  We are going to be at the bank on Friday to see what can be done, and are praying that the Lord will grease the wheels and that our faithfulness will pay off.  We are not looking for a handout - just a smaller interest rate!

The Lord has been gracious to allow us to fix several problems (real - not cosmetic) in our home - we were able to do an overhaul on both the electric and the plumbing. This is a huge blessing and has made our home a safer place.  And now it is almost up-to-code!  We still can't open our windows - but that is less important than me being home.

One thing that we would like to happen before I am home is for Max to get permanent status at work.  It would give us further stability which we like.  However, we are convinced that we need to take this leap of faith regardless of his job status - neither of us are good at leaping!  Please pray as there are some rumors that this might happen soon - but you know the government...

Thank you again for your prayers in this matter.  I know that you know it is my heart's desire to be at home with my munchkin and everyday closer to July gets a little bit harder.  I will keep you updated if anything changes - but be assured that if these things happen sooner (or Max gets permanent) I will be shouting it from the roof tops!

Its really dead, and other stuff

I am here to tell you that my computer has left building, kicked the bucket, is pushing up daisies...  You know, it's dead.  For real this time.  I don't think that it will come back from this one.  This means that I am not able to get online at home - therefore no picture upload.  And, since that is really what you come here for I will probably be gone for a while.  So, imagine adorable pictures, of my adorable kid, doing adorable things!

Hope you are all doing well and that the sicknesses are fading.  Enjoy the spring and hope that you enjoy Easter.  I hope to have this figured out someday and be back someday.  :)  This, of course, means that I will have to organize my pics very well so that I will be able to go back and upload everything in one huge photo dump.

My the way my mouth is feeling better and I am looking forward to the next one in May!
