March Showers

Well, I had a fun weekend in Idaho with my family. My mom and aunt threw me a baby shower and it was so much fun. We laughed, played games, laughed, talked and laughed some more. We stayed up late almost every night (not that I didn't get my mid-afternoon nap each day) talking and enjoying being together. That was the most time I have gotten to spend with my mom in a row for a long time. She took Monday off, and she, my sister and I got to spend the day together, which never happens.

I am adding a few pictures for you to see (Brenda).

My grandma Kay tried to tell the lady how to spell Kaylynn's name, but the lady thought she was nuts, and spelled it her own way!!

My sister loves to shop for clothes, so it is no surprise that Kaylynn already has a better wardrobe than her mother and father!! This was one of the cutest that Mandy gave me!

My sister had this great idea of getting white onesies and having all the guests decorate them, so now I have several personalised onesies for KayLynn. She will be the best dressed little girl in town.

Yep - It's getting bigger! It is amazing, how your belly stays about the same size for so long, and then all of a sudden it is changing every day!

Well, to add to a great weekend (during which I missed my husband like crazy!), I came home to a husband who had taken the day off to clean the house and make dinner for me. He had spent the entire day cleaning and getting big projects done for me. He mopped the house and cleaned the bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms. He moved all of the computer stuff out of Kaylynn's room, leaving it ready to be painted and set up for her! He also foudn time to walk the dogs, so that they would nor be crazy when I got home. Max is such a blessing.

In like a lion and out like a lamb??

March - Out like a lamb?? It is snowing outside right now. Oh yes, I said SNOWING. Today when Max got home it was snowing outside! Is Washington crazy or what??

My husband...The big kid...

On Saturdays Max works in the same store as Tony, and so I hang out with Laura and the kids till they are done, then we all have dinner and hang out! Max has known these guys for years. It is such a blessing then that I have come to love them as he does and I really enjoy having a friend who also has a young family. She and Tony have been married a lot longer and their kids a little older than Kaylynn, but it is a nice fit. Laura has come up with a great side job for Max. He will be the Human Jungle Gym for rent! We are going to rent him out for kids partys. He has almsot as much energy as the kids, and he is able to lift and throw more than one at a time!!

If I wasn't convinced before, I am now. The pain during delivery has to be completely worth it. Of course, you might have to remind me of this!! Yesterday I was at work doing an amazingly boring project. I had to copy, hole punch, fasten together and bind a 949 page document 5 times! As I am sure you can imagine, I had a lot of time on my hands while pages were copying. While I was waiting, I sat staring at my belly. Mostly I was just day dreaming, but all of a sudden it moved! I wasn’t quite sure of myself so I kept staring – yep, it moved again. The only thing bad about that moment is that there was no one to tell or show! I had to be amazed all by myself. So I thank the Lord for this little one inside me even if it may take pain to be able to hold her.

On another note, we had a baby shower at church the other night for Rachel Moore. She is about a million months pregnant (due in 1.5 weeks)! She is also having a girl. Aubree Dawson did the devotion for her, and I loved it. She started out with the fact that the Lord even has enough mercy to help us deal with child birth while still honoring Him. We can still have the fruits of the spirit while giving birth. We can have, “love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” I am praying now that the Lord would help me to exhibit these qualities when he decides to bring Kaylynn into this world.

Time to catch up...

Well, it has happened. My husband has become wrapped around our daughter's finger already. Today while he was off work, he looked up countless videos on Youtube about babies. Mostly babies laughing!!! By the time that I came home, he was completely thrilled and could not stop talking about the fact that we are going to have a little girl. He made me lie down so that he could talk to the Kaylynn. He also tried to encourage her to move by pushing my stomach and singing into it! After a while I could not hold the laughter in. It was so funny how excited he was, like this was a new thing, I had to laugh at him. I know that this pregnancy is more real to me because I was sick, I feel the baby move, I am gaining weight and so on. But the reality has finally hit him. So, now I can't wait to see his reaction the day she is born. I am sure he will be more than ecstatic. I love my husband, and I love that he loves his daughter much already.

Chocolate Fiasco

Everyone talks about the craving mad pregnant woman, well up to this point I was sure that I knew what a craving was. Well let me know tell you that I had no idea. Today I have the day off. I decided that I would go get some chocolate syrup. However, I couldn't think of anything to put the syrup on (I have an escalating allergy to milk, so no ice cream!). I was at Albertsons and they don't have milk-free ice cream. SO, as I walked down every aisle of the store I started to cry because I couldn't think of anything to eat with it. I thought maybe I should just eat the dang syrup by itself. But, don't worry, I found some soy milk and I am now sitting here enjoying my chocolate milk. So...now I know. THAT is a craving!!
