Just another week in paradise

Its been a pretty normal week; some ups and downs, laughing and crying.  You know, the usual.
This morning I was cuddling with my son who wanted hot chocolate.  However, he did not want to stop cuddling.  When KayLynn offered to take over, he was most happy!

Science this season is in part growing a garden. KayLynn got to plant her pepper seeds this week in Mimi's green house. The seeds came from peppers that we ate, so she is pretty excited to see them start from the beginning. Watching them grow will be fun. We have also started strawberries and petunias.  More to come for the garden soon!

My happy boy.

My darling girl. She really is my joy.

Walking and running his hand on the fence. I remember doing this as a child,

My studious girl. She is leaning a great deal in school and really loves almost every part of it...Just not the writing!

He is Risen Indeed

What a glorious day to celebrate the risen Lord.  The sun shone, the baby cooed and the children laughed. Yesterday was not without its glitches. We forgot to set a time and to find out who all was really coming. But we were with family The rolls were just a bit darker than we would have liked. But we got to eat outside in the beautiful sun. The ham had to be reheated a couple times, but it tasted delicious. The jello salad got a little discombobulated but the smile on the children's face seeing the peeps on top made it all seem perfect.

This year we were at Grandma's with my sisters family.  Our friend Noah was also there and they kids enjoyed playing with him as well.  It was so much fun having a holiday with her and her kids.  It isn't often that we get to be together! Today we will be resting and recovering, but here are some pictures of the day!

 In our Sunday best!

Jack and KayLynn were running so fast that it was hard to get any pictures of them. They were on a mission!

Serenity and Ami joined us t=for the afternoon. It was fun having them with us.
Yeah, so as I was making this dessert for Easter I had this realization that chicks don't float...hmm.. That's ok though because Jack thinks that they are ducks!
