My Birthday: During my 10 days off, I had my 28th birthday. This was probably the most spoiled I have ever been on any birthday thus far. Among the plethora (yes, I know what a plethora is) of gifts, I received the following deliveries on the actual day...

Tidbits
This morning while I was getting ready for work KayLynn was counting the studs on my shoes. 1...2...3...4...5...4...5...4...5... Maybe we should work on what comes after five.

Also while I was getting ready: KayLynn grabbed the thermometer and held it to her ear. "She is so smart" I thought!! Then she said, "Hi, daddy? You at work? Bye bye!"
They say boys turn everything into guns - I guess girls turn everything into phones and babies.

In the car the other day with my sister we heard from the back, "Aunt Mandy's hat is so cute. Mommy's hair is so cute!"

The other evening I was trying KayLynn's flower girl dress on her - to see what I need to do to it. Apparently I left it out. Later that evening we had this conversation.
K: the dress mommy
Me: What?
K: The dress
Me: OK
K: The pretty dress, try?
Me: What are you talking about?
K: --frustrated goes to her room and returns dragging the flower girl dress
K: Try dress Mommy.

Said to her baby the other day after putting it on the toilet. "No no baby, go toilet, not panties."
I promise I will upload pictures soon...

Time well spent
Hi!! I am back. I had the last 10 days off work, five of which Max had off (Weekends and Wednesday!). I am so blessed to have had so much quality time with KayLynn. The last time I spent that much time with her was when she was 2 weeks old.
The biggest thing from my 'vacation' was potty training. I am happy to say that it went exceptionaly well and that KayLynn is now potty trained. And, except to say that I am very proud of her, I will spare you the details.
Although we did not do anything amazing on vacation, we had lots of fun. I hope to get pictures up of our time soon. Let me remind all of you stay-at-home moms how lucky you are. While there were definitely moments when I just wanted KayLynn to stop needing me, I am so thankful that the Lord gave us those ten days together. However, I think I was more tired at the end of those ten days (although potty training had a lot to do with that!) than I have ever been at the end of a work week.

My sister Mandy is pregnant! Please pray for her. Most of you probably know that she hasn't had the easiest time in the past. Please pray for the baby's safety and my sister's heart as she goes through this first trimester.

Can you explain to me, a coffee shop that does not open before 7AM?? I have to be AT work at 7AM.
When this coffee shop first opened, I stoped by on my way to work because 1. I love coffee and 2. The signs were Bible verses and such, making me assume that they are Christians (of some sort).
However, they have not been open once since then on my way to work. What time do they open???? I don't know. I do know they are open on my home around 4PM. I guess this is one of the great mysteries of my life...
Seriously, there should be a law about such things...
